About Cristina: Cristina was referred to Casa Jackson after her concerned parents brought her to a local clinic to treat a respiratory illness. She has a severe case of Kwashiorkor malnutrition. Cristina’s first day at Casa Jackson was also her one year birthday, and a celebration of a new beginning. Though she was quite upset her first few days of adjusting to Casa Jackson and was struggling with her bottle feedings, she is making progress every day. Unfortunately, due to her malnutrition, Cristina is very small for her age and developmentally delayed, but we look forward to seeing her growth in the next few months!
