Julian

Age:  1 year, 3 months
Birthday: July 26
Date Admitted: September 21, 2011
Weight at time of admittance: 15.1 Lbs.
About Julian: Julian is a wide-eyed little boy who arrived with large bruises covering his ankles and heels; a sign of the persistent anemia that recently landed him in a nearby hospital. After several blood transfusions and a number of tests, it was determined that Julian had a parasitic infection that was causing his iron to remain stubbornly low, despite the supplements he was taking. We hope to see his big eyes turn from serious to joyful as he can finally begin to rest, cuddle, eat, and play like a 15-month-old should.

UPDATE: Julian was discharged November 30, 2011 at a healthy weight of 18 lbs.
