About Vanesa: Vanesa was only 1 month old and weighed only 6 lbs. when she arrived at Casa Jackson. While she was a bit bigger than some of her new “roommates,” her weight was still dangerously low for her age. After a month of rich formula feeds–along with breast feeds and quality time that her mother travels several hours to give her twice a week–Vanesa is steadily gaining weight and now has a chubby little tummy and rolls of ‘baby fat’ on her legs that tell us she is almost ready to return home.
