In 2008, The GOD’S CHILD Project formed a strategic partnership with DAYA (The Destitute, Aged and Young Association) in Orissa, India. DAYA had been struggling each month to care for and educate the orphaned children in eastern India. The GOD’S CHILD Project now provides administrative support and financial assistance to this small program while strengthening and expanding its work in this needy country.
DAYA houses and cares for orphaned children between the ages of 3 and 11, providing a safe home, food, clothing and assistance with school fees. Beyond the orphans cared for at the center, a recent outreach to Sardapali slum dwellers is now providing education to those who otherwise could never attend school.
