About Erick: Erick is an active, bustling baby boy who is very strong. Despite his struggle with malnutrition, Erick is pulling himself up on furniture to stand, walking steadily when holding his mother’s hands, and trying to climb everything! His mother is staying at Casa Jackson to breastfeed Erick and to spend time with his older sister, Lisseyda. Her commitment to her young son is paying off; with the combination of breast milk, formula, and solid foods, Erick is gaining weight quickly and should be able to return home very soon!
UPDATE: Erick was discharged October 8, 2011 at a healthy weight of 16.3 lbs.
