The work and dedicated staff of the Dreamer Center also reach beyond the borders into neighboring El Salvador to care for those in need. Following the call and passion that is The GOD’S CHILD Project, La Asociación Nuestros Ahijados cares for and educates 48 children in need in Guazapa, El Salvador.
Guazapa is a town (pop. 30,000) that was ravaged by the civil wars of El Salvador. With the extreme poverty that is experienced in this region, children will many times be forced into labor situations instead of receiving the education necessary to break them free from poverty. The GOD’S CHILD Project in El Salvador is ensuring that the children of the region are in school and that they are receiving food, clothing and health supplies. In 2010, ServiceTeams built 3 houses, bringing pride to all of the families involved.

History
In 2005 GOD’S CHILD Project extended the reach of the Guatemalan program into El Salvador, with the goal of providing community health care, education sponsorship, and home building serices to the war-devastated region of Guazapa and Santa Ana. Our El Salvadoran efforts are known as Asociacion Nuestros Ahijados de El Salvador.
